Assistant Professor
My research is mainly focused on advanced techniques for the aerothermal design, development, and assessment of turbomachinery. Nowadays, with rapid progress in various branches of knowledge and technology, various possibilities are and become available for the improvement of turbomachines. Some examples showing the variety of approaches and methods, are the application of composites in turbomachines, development of numerical methods for high performance computing, implementation of advanced measurement techniques to investigate various aspects of turbomachines, integration of optimization methods in design process, implementation of modern control techniques, and advanced manufacturing techniques. Using multidisciplinary approaches, I investigate existing and emerging scientific and technological advancements in order to devise new methods, technological advancements, and assessment techniques for turbomachinery. My current focus is on the development of artificial intelligence based measurement techniques for aeroacoustic applications including characterization of turbulent and external flows.
