Hello! I am S. Amir Ghannadpour, associate professor at Shahid Beheshti University from 2008.
My main research topics are: composite materials, finite elements, finite strips, plates and shells, buckling and postbuckling of structures, progressive damage, geometric nonlinearity, and new computational techniques. I am also responsible for overseeing a research laboratory specializing in structural design and analysis. Our laboratory is known for its advanced facilities and cutting-edge computing equipment. With a team of over 10 colleagues, we are dedicated to conducting high-quality research in our field. Learn More

Polytechnic University of Tehran
Title: A high accurate and full analytical post-buckling analysis of composite prismatic plate structures.
Full-analytical Finite Strip Method is introduced in this thesis which provides an efficient and extremely accurate buckling and post-buckling solutions of composite plates and plate structures by solving both Von-Karman’s equilibrium and compatibility equations.
2001 - 2003
Polytechnic University of Tehran
Title: Finite strip post-buckling analysis of composite plates under end-shortening strain.
Theoretical developments of semi-analytical finite strip method for post-buckling analysis of composite plates and prismatic plate structures have been presented in this thesis in which all the displacements are postulated by the appropriate shape functions.
1997 - 2001
Polytechnic University of Tehran
Title: Extraction of the complete process of helicopter conceptual design.
