We are at the dawn of a new era The media-stricken woman is the achievement of the media-stricken world
Dr. Jamileh Alamolhoda, the wife of the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said in an intimate meeting with foreign women participating in Ahl-ul-Bayt World Assembly: “For some time now, we have been observing various events happening rapidly and with unparalleled acceleration in various economic, political, medical, scientific, technological, and even environmental fields. It is this wide variety of climatic changes and high speed of social changes that have caused most authors and theorists to announce the emergence of a new era.”
Pointing out that some theorists consider the new era to be a post-industrial era, the dean of Shahid Beheshti University’s Institute for Science and Technology Studies, said: “Of course, the term that is heard a lot these days in artistic and propaganda forms and even scientific reports is ‘metaverse’. Metaverse refers to a simulated world and in fact we are constantly being told that in the near future we can or will have to live in such an imaginary simulated world. This metaverse or imaginary world is the result of all the advances and achievements of various sciences and technologies.”
She continued: “You have often heard that in some developed countries, universities and scientific associations are working on advanced technologies that quickly create such a man-made world. Also, the youth of most undeveloped or developing countries, and even the politicians of these countries are constantly being urged to prepare themselves to be more effective in such a simulated imaginary world.
The secretary of the Education and Training Staff of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution said: “Currently, the main current of children’s education, especially in the virtual space, is developed around these imaginations. Actually, to some extent, the boom of the big market of games and animations is strengthened based on this imaginary future.”
