The Role of Intellectual Movement in Educational Secularism
Secularism, which is considered a school with the aim of secularization in the Muslim community, has targeted religious thought in various forms, and education is one of the most important areas of its influence. In this regard, secularists attempt to expand their control over the educational system and push it towards scientism without religious knowledge and intellectualism based on conflict with religion. In Iran, these actions trace back to the Safavid era, when some weak people surrendered to the foreign culture of the West due to their weak vision. They were mostly people who were sent to western countries to study, and the hatred to their native culture was their souvenirs for their homeland.
This book examines the formation and expansion of this secular movement in Iran’s educational system.
This book includes preface, introduction and four chapters.
The titles of the chapters of the book include: the evolution of old education to new education, the development and expansion of the intellectual movement, the establishment of new schools and the analysis of the secular foundations of new education.
