Education based on love and patience is one of the commonalities between the lives of Imam Ali (PBUH) and Jesus Christ (PBUH)

Dr. Jamileh Alamolhoda, associate professor of Shahid Beheshti University, said: “There are many commonalities in the lives of Imam Ali (PBUH) and Jesus Christ (PBUH), one of which is education based on love and patience. Dr. Alamolhoda said in the scientific-specialist conference “Moral education of children in the life of Imam Ali (PBUH) and Jesus Christ (PBUH)” which was held in Sheikh Tabarsi Hall of Astan Quds Razavi Islamic Research Foundation with the attendance of Cardinal Professor Michel Dubost and Ayatollah Mohammad Hadi Abdekhodaei, a member of the Assembly of Experts for Leadership: “Jesus Christ is regarded as the predecessor of Amir al-Momineen (PBUH) in terms of time and the thoughts of Imam Ali (PBUH) are a commentary on what the previous prophets have expressed.”

She stated: “The childhood of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and Imam Ali (PBUH) is one of the wonders of the time, and the history of their lives has amazing dimensions. Imam Ali (PBUH) is the first person who recognizes Islam from childhood and reaches the position of Walayah, and Jesus Christ (PBUH) also attains prophethood from the moment of birth.”

Alamolhoda continued: “It is never quiet around the shrine, and every moment and hour of the day and night when we visit Imam Reza’s shrine, we encounter crowds. Such a thing cannot be seen anywhere in the world, and what we see is the attraction and love of God’s saints and it is related to the eleven children of Amir al-Momineen (PBUH).”

She pointed out: “There are many works in the field of love and affection, but most of these works consider love as a human act, and only those who are familiar with this school know that love is not a human act, but a divine blessing. If our connection with the infallible Imams is interrupted for a moment, we become robots.”

The associate professor of Shahid Beheshti University continued: “In Islamic wisdom, education based on love is considered to be an active intellect and an attraction that has come down from the divine world, and it is also interpreted as evidence in Usul al-Kafi. Hojjat of every age has such power and in Persian literature, Rumi emphasizes the universal mind and considers it equivalent to universal love.

Dr. Alamolhoda stated: “We are facing a serious problem in education. Modern education emphasizes obedience to the law, social companionship and socialization, and is based on compromise and obedience, and in contrast, postmodern thinking emphasizes critical thinking. In this thinking, children are future citizens, learn about their rights and are invited to criticize society and social and political institutions.”
